ABOUT

Managing Director, Digital & Social Media

BIO

Sarah Goldfarb oversees the RW Jones Agency’s strategic work with universities, clients and other higher ed partners when it comes to social media, website optimization, e-mail marketing, digital advertising and more.

Sarah and her team work with institutions looking to prioritize the many competing platforms that make up today’s social media landscape. The collaborations Sarah’s team offers include engagement efforts, outreach to priority audiences, social listening, influencer marketing, content creation, paid activation, strategy creation, workshops, and more. She also produces a popular higher education-focused newsletter, The Social Minute.

Sarah’s team also assists institutions to ensure their web presences, CRMs, emails and other communication platforms are distinctive, operating efficiently, and helping clients meet enrollment and other goals.

Sarah joined RW Jones in 2022 after spending close to a decade on campus as a leader in the University of Delaware’s Marketing & Communications office, growing the University’s social media presence and pioneering a large and nationally recognized social media ambassador program, overseeing a massive centralized website redesign project and becoming an expert in managing issues and crises in the public eye and on social media.

Before working on campus, Sarah spent the first several years of her career as a journalist for the Gannett/USA Today Network helping colleagues embrace social media and create their own brands.

Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in strategic communications from the University of Delaware.

Sarah lives in Delaware with her husband, Chris, and two daughters. When not working, she can be found sending Instagram Reels to her friends, getting her kids snacks, watching YouTube videos to fix home DIY projects that have gone awry and most definitely not getting sucked into a TikTok algorithm that culminates in her planning her next family trip based on a viral video clip.
