We are excited to begin another new installment of the blog with a monthly look ahead at the top three events we’re anticipating this month.
- Shortly after the one year mark of ex-President Donald Trump’s acquittal for his first impeachment trial on February 5, the new Senate impeachment trial is set to begin on February 8. Former President Trump is now the only president to have been impeached twice.
- What might as well be a national holiday in the United States: Super Bowl Sunday falls on February 7 this year. The Weeknd, along with featured guests, will serenade the crowd during halftime and the commercials may look a little different this year, as the typical advertisers like Pepsi and Budweiser reassess their marketing strategies in light of the pandemic.
- The whole month of February is Black History Month. There are several related anniversaries/ nationally recognized days throughout the month, with one being the World Day of Social Justice on February 20. As America looks to heal the country’s racial and social inequities, this is an opportune time to learn about each of our roles in doing that.
