RW Jones Agency Promotes Maggy Ralbovsky to President and Managing Director; Advances Industry-Leading Consulting for Higher Education Clients. Promotion Builds Upon Agency Momentum With Focus on Strategic Consulting & Communications.
The partners of the RW Jones Agency, the nation’s leading strategic consultancy for higher education with a focus on communications and engagement, announced the promotion of Maggy Ralbovsky to the president and managing director of the firm. Ralbovsky, previously the firm’s executive vice president and managing director, now takes on a greater management focus for the firm as well as the growth of the agency’s strategic consulting and change management practice.
“For the past six years, Maggy has been at the table charting the growth and ensuring the RW Jones Agency remains synonymous with the highest class of consulting in higher education,” said Scott Willyerd, managing partner of the RW Jones Agency. “She’s partnered with our CEO Sean Rossall and me as we’ve navigated pandemics, shifting politics and ever-turbulent issues in education. She innately understands higher education, and we wanted to recognize the invaluable role she plays in our agency.”
Ralbovsky joined the RW Jones Agency (then Dick Jones Communications) in 2016, following the firm’s acquisition of Morrison & Tyson Communications. For more than two decades, she helped shape and build Morrison & Tyson into one of the country’s preeminent communications firms focused on the needs of leading colleges and universities. Since joining the RW Jones Agency, she has worked with agency leaders to expand and deepen engagements on strategic consulting, planning, campus management, equity, student success, executive leadership development and thought leadership.
“The RW Jones Agency is as strong as we are in large part because of the contributions of Maggy,” said Sean Rossall, CEO of the RW Jones Agency. “Together, we’ve worked hard to build a firm focused on delivering ethos-centered leadership and communications solutions that help campuses embrace their values and communicate authentically. We’re fortunate to have had the partnership of Maggy, as well as her wise counsel.”
Along with Rossall and Willyerd, Ralbovsky will oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm. As well, she will play a central role in formalizing the firm’s growing strategy and change management practice area in partnership with Senior Vice President Ashley Northington. The strategy and change management practice builds upon the work that the agency is already respected for and sharpens the focus on helping campuses think through and act on their biggest challenges. A major focus of this developing practice area is helping campuses develop meaningful programs to create equity, bolster belonging and support BIPOC students, staff and faculty. By taking advantage of the firm’s recent acquisition of Rankin Climate, which is the country’s premiere climate assessment firm, RW Jones is able to support data-driven strategies that result in measurable impact.
“There is no finer team of talented communications professionals, and I am honored to be recognized for contributions to this firm and our profession,” Ralbovsky said. “As we move ahead in partnership with institutions around the country, I look forward to upholding the highest standards in our work to support and inform senior leaders, build institutional reputation, strengthen accountability and cultivate public dialogue on the defining issues of our time.”
RW Jones has served colleges and universities for more than 30 years. Launched by Richard W. “Dick” Jones in 1987 as Dick Jones Communications, the agency has grown from a provider of marketing and media-relations support into a full-service PR firm with more than 20 professionals.
