Tell us a bit about you:
I am from Lewis Center, Ohio, a suburb outside of Columbus, Ohio. I am a sophomore at Otterbein University where I study public relations and health communications. Health communications uses verbal and written strategies to help individuals and communities make healthier choices. I decided to study health communications because I have a passion for healthy living and teaching people about the importance of quality healthcare.
What are your hobbies?
One of my favorite things to do is play soccer. I have been playing for 13 years and am a defensive starter for Otterbein’s team.
What three skills do you rely on most in college?
The three skills I rely on are organization, communication and time management. I am always taking notes and writing dates in my calendar. I am a very social person and not afraid to talk to new people or ask for help. Soccer has taught me the importance of juggling multiple responsibilities at once.
Who do you look up to?
I look up to my parents because they have shown me what it looks like to work hard and be a good person.
What is your favorite color?
Black. It goes perfectly with every other color!
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Cake batter from Cold Stone Creamery. Cold Stone has some of the best ice cream flavors and you can find me there for a summer treat.
Do you have any pets?
I have two mini-Aussie doodles named Kobe and Bryant. My family enjoys watching basketball and we named our pets as a tribute to him.
What do you enjoy about public relations?
I love social media and creating social media posts. Social media allows you to be creative and express yourself.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?
Italy. Italian food is my favorite cuisine. Fettuccine Alfredo is my favorite dish from Marcellas, an Italian restaurant in Columbus.
Why did you want this internship?
I am most excited about getting real-world experiences in communications while I am still in college.
