In December 2016, a handful of college and university partners along with the Aspen Institute, Ithaka S+R and Bloomberg Philanthropies created the American Talent Initiative.
This collaborative initiative was created to improve access and opportunities for talented low- and moderate-income students.
Two years later, ATI has expanded its college/university membership to more than 100 institutions and shown that institutions have increased Pell-eligible enrollment by nearly 7300 students. Nearly 63 percent of the institutions that participate in ATI increased the number of Pell students they enrolled.
