The RW Jones Agency, a strategic communications firm serving a variety of educational institutions and related organizations, is seeking a communications coordinator to create digital content that tells the story of a client based in Staten Island, NY.
Who You Are:
A talented and ambitious digital storyteller who is comfortable writing feature stories, sending press releases, or posting Instagram stories.
You’re eager to further develop your career, and work with an experienced team who can help you use your skills to advance an institution’s mission.
You’re personable and professional in person, on the phone and on digital platforms and can work with our team and clients.
You probably have a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, public relations, or a related field and have 1-2 years of professional communications experience.
You are based in the New York City metro area and are able to work on-site in Staten Island 2-3 days a week, including occasional evening and weekend assignments.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll work with our national agency and on-campus partners to write digital stories that define an institution.
Collaborate with the RWJ Social team to develop engaging social media posts that support enrollment and advancement initiatives.
Contribute to the client’s website, writing program descriptions that connect with specific audiences.
Manage a newsletter that highlights key news and events on campus.
